Quality film on gloss paint is virtually invisible — a faint edge line on some panels is the only tell. Matte film matches satin finishes rather than adding gloss, and color-change film is a finish in its own right.

Yes — the top coat is engineered so light swirls and wash marks flow back out with heat from the sun or warm water. It won't erase a deep gouge, but everyday surface marring disappears.
